I wanted one of these for such a very long time. Picked this one up a couple of years ago now, it’s still awesome. :)

I wonder if one could build a 64-maxi style machine with a little LCD display and USB keyboard in a shape like this. There would be lots of room for batteries and you could replace the local floppies with USB ports for thumb drives.

You got the keyboard cable as well? I have one of these, but had to get a replacement cable which works, but doesn’t look that nice.

Yep, that was the first thing I checked, since I know how hard they are to find. I did have to replace the membrane for the keyboard. I bought a new replacement from someone who makes them on sellmyretro.com. It works like new now.

I had one for about 5 minutes. It was given to me by someone from craigslist or freecycle. Plugged it in - saw the white on blue text. Then, sadly, a white veil rose up from the bottom of the screen and it was no more. It’s long gone now. : ^ (

Nice! I’ve always wanted one of these, too. Looks like this one is in great shape. Enjoy! 😄

Thanks! Yeah, I went and collected it, I didn’t want to risk it being damaged in the post.

Wow, I didn’t even know these existed. Apparently it was the first full-color portable computer? And also known as the Executive 64 or VIP-64?

    SWEET!
